I was catching up on some of your broadcasts (love&#039;em) and noted a comment you made regarding handgun optics; something about the viability of putting an optic sight on a handgun that would be used at &quot;bad breath&quot; distances and &quot;why would you spend the money&quot;? On this I would tend to agree with you.

However it could just as well be said that purchasing a handgun for self defense that would likely be used at &quot;bad breath&quot; distances, why would you spend the money on a Super Duper Ed Brown/Dave Champion MOLON LABE (no less) 1911, when a $500 Glock, although not as pretty, will handle any &quot;bad breath&quot; situation just as effectively.

It is of no interest whatsoever to the bad guy if he is shot with the pretty gun or the ugly gun. That is the preoccupation and purview of the shopper, not the predator.
